Yu Fan

Yu is currently finishing his Master studies at Freie Universität Berlin where he leverages deep learning and other machine learning techniques to model socio-economic data. In addition, he is enrolled in the Graduate Certificate Program “Artificial Intelligence” at Stanford University. 

Yu worked as a research assistant at the WZB Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin and did an internship as AI engineer at Cisco.

His research interests include natural language understanding, deep generative models and reinforcement learning. In his last project, Yu designed a generator-discriminator architecture with GPT-2 and BERT for a text style transfer task.
